At the end of every summer during our annual Centre Camp Staff Banquet we announce the winners of six prestigious awards. Staff that receive these awards are rewarded with a tangible bonus as well as having their names forever etched in Centre Camp history. Below is a list of our five awards and the winners from 2006-2011.
ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
Awarded to first year junior counselors who exceeds all expectations, and epitomizes the spirit of Centre Camp. They are not only leaders within their cabins, but camp-wide role models filled with energy, creativity and a constant positive attitude.

CITIZENSHIP AWARD - “Great effort springs naturally from great attitude”
Awarded to staff members who demonstrate a positive attitude, a genuine love and care for the camp and its campers, and are regarded as good CC citizens by fellow staff and the community.

SPIRIT AWARD - “Confidence is contagious”
Awarded to staff members that epitomize spirit and energy. These individuals have the ability to energize campers as well as fellow staff members with their enthusiasm and great personalities.

At Centre Camp we expect and demand a lot out of our staff. We recognize that it is through the achievements of outstanding staff members that your child’s summer is defined. The winners of this award are individuals that go beyond are expectations and truly devote themselves to better Centre Camp, its campers, its staff, and the Jewish community at large.

LASTING IMPRESSION AWARD - “The more original a discovery, the more obvious it seems afterwards”
Very rarely does an idea come along that changes the very essence of camp. The Lasting Impression Award will only be presented when someone needs to be recognized for this type of concept. The 2006 winner came all the way from Israel for three straight summers to help us build and develop our niche in the day camping industry, our Israeli Cultural Programming.

CAMP LIFE ACHIEVEMENT AWARD - “The quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence”
Over the years Centre Camp has become a home away from home for thousands of campers and staff members. For some very special people, they truly begin to live and breath Centre Camp. The Camp Life Achievement Award is dedicated to individuals who become part of Centre Camp lore.
